The low E String on my Acoustic guitar is vibrating, how can I fix it?
If I play it open, it is fine as long as I don't strum pretty hard. If I am trying to play a chord though, that is when it vibrates. It is in tune.. Oh, and I recently changed the strings and that probably is the problem. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Or do I have to replace it again?
First, I would loosen the string and re-tighten it making sure it is laying correctly in the bridge and nut grooves. If it still buzzes it may be if either a fret is worn or the neck is bowed. I would recommend taking it to a pro if this is the case, but if you do decide to adjust your neck, remember you should only adjust the screw 1/4 turn at a time, otherwise you can easily mess up your setup or damage your guitar. If you have to turn it more than 1-2 whole turns, you should probably take it to a shop.
