What do I need for a good electric guitar setup?
Right now I have focused playing acoustic guitar, but I want to start learning some electric guitar songs and I have no idea where to begin to get the right gear to make it sound good. I am playing on a 2008 Gibson Les Paul Classic, and I have a Vox Valvetronix 30W, wah pedal, and a blues pedal. I usually play without the pedals because I can't tell much of a difference. No matter what I do, the sound comes off with a lot of static and its not very crisp. Any suggestion as to what I would need to make playing classic rock (Zep, Floyd, Stones...etc) sound the best, let me know.

You have a great guitar and a very good amp. Both are true classics. Love Vox amps almost as much as the old Fenders.
The static is a concern. Have you checked the tube? You may need to replace it to clean up your sound.
I am not certain what your blues pedal is? Is that an overdrive pedal? Something along the lines of a tube screamer.
About the wah pedal. That should make a noticeable difference. What wah pedal do you have?
Not all wah like pedals are true wah wah pedals. Some wah like pedals are only volume pedals. To get the sound, you need something like a Crybaby 95 (or one of the better clones of it).
With that guitar and amp, I would think all you need in the way of pedals for classic rock sound would be an overdrive pedal, a (true) wah wah pedal and a distortion (fuzz) pedal.
