Seymour Duncan Sa-6 Mag Mic Active Acoustic Guitar Pickup

Seymour Duncan Sa-6 Mag Mic Active Acoustic Guitar Pickup

$228.95

The Seymour Duncan SA-6 Mag Mic is an acoustic pickup that begs the question: "Why mix a magnetic pickup with a microphone?" Because, the magnetic pickup senses the guitar strings' vibrations while the mic accurately reproduces the complex and rich character of the acoustic guitar's tone. Blended together, the result is the most natural-sounding, 3-dimensional soundhole pickup. The Seymour Duncan Mag Mic is the first active, humbucking, magnetic soundhole pickup ever created. The SA-6 features a blend circuit and adjustable pole pieces--2 for each string. It uses Seymour Duncan's patented, hum-cancelling stack design to eliminate 60-cycle hum. Permanent or temporary installation is a snap, and the sound is amazing. Deep, rich lows; percussive mids; and shimmering highs. The SA-6 pickup accurately duplicates and amplifies your acoustic guitar's entire sound spectrum. The Mag Mic gets up to 500 hours continuous operation from a single standard 9V battery. You can attach N-size battery clips directly to the Mag Mic pickup for a completely self-contained unit.First pickup of its kindBlend circuitAdjustable pole piecesPattern: omni-directionalSensitivity: -35dBS/N ratio: >62dBFrequency range: 20Hz-20kHzBattery life: 450+ hours

Lr Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic Acoustic Microphone/Piezo Pickup System

Lr Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic Acoustic Microphone/Piezo Pickup System

$299

After 30 years of effort, LR Baggs has created the Anthem Tru-Mic acoustic guitar microphone which does what every amplified acoustic guitarist has dreamed about and no other pickup manufacturer has been able to create yetunlocked the potential of a microphone to capture the very essence of your guitar with high-feedback resistance for demanding stages. Not obvious, but equally important, is that the natural ease and dynamics of the Anthem Tru-Mic guitar microphone liberates you to play freely without having to compensate for the pickup system. Now you're free to play the way you like, plugged in or not. For the Anthem acoustic guitar mic, LR Baggs used no modeling or illusions. It's not "like" a mic. It's not "like" your guitar. This is a mic, and what you will experience is your guitarloud and with the fidelity and dynamics that come from a real microphone. Tru-Mic Technology At the heart of the LR Baggs Anthem guitar mic is a revolutionary type of microphone. Using a proprietary noise-canceling mic, the Anthem Tru-Mic eliminates any annoying honky or boxy qualities that have been previously associated with internal miking, leaving the pure and natural sound of your guitar the way only a real mic is capable of doing. Because this LR Baggs acoustic mic is positioned within a few millimeters of the guitar top, it has very high gain before feedback. The mic housing mounts easily to the bridge plate and the mic capsule hovers just 3mm above its surface to take advantage of the PZM or boundary effect. This Tru-Mic technology picks up the sound of the vibrations of the entire soundboard and makes the LR Baggs guitar mic unusually free from placement issues. Mic and Piezo Pickup: A Radical Technology The sound quality and feedback resistance of the Anthem Tru-Mic acoustic microphone now allows the mic to be the primary sound source in a mic/pickup system. This is unlike previous systems where only a small amount of the mic could be used to add some air to the dominant pickup signal. This is a radical new relationship between a mic and a pickup, as all of the detail, warmth, and personality of your guitar is captured by the Tru-mic. The mic is augmented, for only the very lowest frequencies, capturing the punch and authority of your playing, by the LR Baggs Element under saddle pickup. Controls The featherweight control unit controls all of the essentials, volume, mix, and phase. It nestles securely just inside of the soundhole for easy fingertip access. The mix control allows a full-blend between the augmented mic and full-range pickup. A multi-segment battery check allows you to maximize battery life and peace of mind. Under the hood is an all-discrete preamp/mixer with the pure, clean LR Baggs signature sound that is trusted by top artists around the world. Thanks to it's intelligent engineering, you can just plug in and enjoy the real sound of your acoustic guitar and the way you play, night after night.Designed to work with standard acoustic

With dynamics, sensitivity and clarity built into the design from day one, APX is a guitar not to be underestimated.SRT PickupWhen professional guitarists want to record real acoustic guitar tone, theyll record the guitar with a microphone. That holds true for guitarists who prefer using electric-acoustics on stage as well. Electric-acoustics are very effective in live situations due to their ability to adjust sound and balance volume with the other instruments in the band. But the sound that electric-acoustics deliver is merely the amplified sound from a pickup attached to the bridge or the top, and lacks true acoustic resonance and ambiance. True acoustic guitar tone that you hear on recordings only exists in the recording studio where experienced sound engineers have the means to capture that sound.Yamahas new SRT system lets you create that same studio recorded sound. The system lets you choose from three different high-end mic types as well as mic positioning. It also lets you obtain more detailed sound by blending the sound with that from the piezo pickup and adjusting resonance. The SRT series brings studio quality acoustic guitar sound to the stage that will amaze your audiences.Adjustable Body ResonanceThe RESONANCE knob allows you to add body resonance to the sound, emphasising the natural tone of the guitar. * The RESONANCE control is only effective on the mic sound.Blending Piezo and Mic Sound SourcesBlend piezo pickup and microphone sources to create a wide palette of tonal variations. Applied Microphone Technology S25B-TP Tailpiece Acoustic Bass Mic

Applied Microphone Technology S25B-TP Tailpiece Acoustic Bass Mic

$615.16

The AMT S25B-TP is an electret-condenser microphone system that has been designed for acoustic bass. The system has exactly the same sound characteristics and functions as the famed S25B, however the "TP "(tail piece) systems includes the ability to mount the mic on the tailpiece of an acoustic bass. All of the parameters that are problematic for the double bass have been addressed. The S25B- TP bass microphone will acquire the most gain before feedback by using a very tight pattern to give a high rejection to surrounding noise. At the same time, the system reproduces with great definition capturing all of the subtleties of the bass.As placement is especially important with an instrument that has a fine finish and varying dimensions, this microphone's attachment mechanism is designed to attach to the tailpiece of the acoustic bass guitar. This allows the instrument and the microphone to be placed back into a carrying case without having to remove the microphone from the body of the instrument. All of the bass microphones now also include D.C.T. (Disconnect Cable Technology). D.C.T. allows you to remove the cable from the microphone.Made from aluminum to keep the mass low yet extremely strong, the AMT bass mic will remain durable through many years of use. The flex arm is easy to position yet retains it's placement throughout the most active of performances. The preamp for the microphone is rugged anodized aviation aluminum, which houses the electronics that can be placed on the floor. This preamp uses a circuit that can change EQ, curve, and gain by exchanging EPROM-like chip. The preamp runs off of battery or phantom power. The output is terminated with a male XLR type connector for balanced use. The AMT bass mic is connected to the preamp by a 4-pin locking connector. The system includes 1 microphone, cable that disconnects from the microphone, the AP40 preamp, and a hardshell case.

acoustic guitar mic
How to mic an acoustic guitar for a show?

Im playing an acoustic show in a small local venue but i dont have an amp because im to broke to buy one haha but i do have a mic just not sure how to exactly mic it up

Close to the soundhole, but careful not to hit it. Closer to the bridge will will you too much highs, and the other way increases the bass. You don't need to have a preamp necessarily, the mixer will do just fine (a preamp controls the hi/lo, which the mixer has). Best to have a built in pickup, or piezos. These are less problematic. Use a Shure 57 if possible.
