I honestly wouldn't recommend buying a beginner guitar from a department store. i would HIGHLY recommended ibanez guitars. they are great guitars for any beginner, intermediate, or expert player.

This looked like it was in your price range, and you could find it on amazon or musicians friend also. the reviews are great, and i myself have actually played this guitar very recently. very "easy" to play, and it has surprising tone and sound for a simple 100 dollar acoustic. and as you can see this pack comes with pretty much absolutely everything you need.
Also, i can already tell you that its not a big guitar.
