Apparently, I have an issue. Guitar help please?
Some people just cant afford certain things!
i fell in love with this ibanez electric acoustic. But the pickups were really crappy.
And for 70 bucks more, there was this amazing guitar; fishman pickups, very beautiful.
However, i dont have 70 bucks. And I need an electric acoustic for a holiday gig.
What to do?
Actually the pickups in the Ibanez are pretty decent. The Fishman system is more for a straight acoustic tone and they are nice but when used with the correct amp settings the Ibanez pickups will work just as well. Sounds like you are letting a salesperson influence your decision. If you really like the Ibanez than get it! Sit down in the store and try it out over a good amp and play with the settings before you decide you don't like the sound. The Ibanez pickups are very versatile but the Fishman can only produce that one sound.
