Would golden walnut highlights look good on dark brown hair?
Heck Yeah!! but make sure you don't get tiger stripes, you want it to look natural. I myself have dark brown hair and 2 years ago i got carmel highlights which are probably the same as golden-ish and they looked great! But i had thin ones that went around my head rather than big tiger stripes. Hope it helped!
