which one is better?
The extra six strings on a twelve string guitar usually give the sound a kind of "chorus" effect when played.The two bass pairs are often tuned an octave apart while the rest of the higher pairs are tuned in unison.Also the neck on a twelve string guitar is broader than that of a six-string guitar.In my opinion a twelve string would be better but a lot more difficult to handle.You can check out the twelve string guitar on wikipedia.com:
