What do I wear to a classical concert?
i won 1st place in this classical competition and i have to perform 2morrow. its gonna be pretty formal and such and i have no idea what type of dress i should wear. i dont want to look too sloppy or like im trying too hard... pleaz help!
I'm going to agree with everyone above and say either a black dress or a white button up shirt with black slacks or skirt.
If you're going with the dress, make sure it's not too revealing. Something with thick straps and reaches just below and just above the knee level. Make sure it's not too low cut either, and if it is, wear a black strapless singlet underneath to cover any inappropriate cleavage happening. You don't want to look to try-hardish with heels, so I suggest a plain pair of flats, and if you've got them, flats with bows at the toe.
With the white shirt, make sure it's long sleeved, or three quarter sleeve length shirt. Long black pants with either flats or lace ups. Doesn't really matter. You may even be able to pull off heels in it. If you wear a skirt, same as the dress - just below or above the knee.
