Dark Cherry
What color of tile should I use in my kitchen with dark cherry cabinets?

We are building our house and I need help deciding what color of tile floor would look nice with dark cherry cabinets. The counter-tops are granite and the kitchen is set up in an "L" shape with an island/bar in the middle. Thanks!

Keep the tile color within the beige family of colors. No doubt your granite is "busy" with color and hues and you won't want to detract from such a costly investment. Concentrate on the various hues in your granite, take a piece into the tile store and place four tiles together with the granite situated in the middle. This may prove helpful to you in your selection. Also to break up the floor and prevent it from looking like a sea of beige, add some accent tiles that either match your appliances, the color of your cabinets or yet another hue in your granite counters to create a feeling of 'continuity' and not just some haphazard devil-may-care tile selection.
