I'm recording a song soon.
My friend got an Ibanez acoustic electric a while ago,
and it sounds really nice and i want to use it for recording.
but im not sure if the old fender acoustic i have sounds better.
the strings on it are old.
tips? advice?
Choose the guitar that you like and that you think sounds better and goes with the music. Generally, that's the the one you're more used to playing. A famous musician once told me that your instrument is like your sword; you have to adjust to the sword before you can battle with it. CHoose the one that you play more often.
New strings make the guitar sound better because they haven't been used, but change your strings at least a week before you make your recording because new strings tend to slip out of tune a lot.
