is it okay to use classical guitar strings on a folk guitar?
please i need help.
I'm not sure what you mean by "folk guitar." Are you referring to a steel string acoustic guitar? If so, then you cannot use classical guitar strings because you need steel strings with a ball end and classical strings are nylon and do not have the ball end (they have a plain, tie end).
If you are concerned about the additional finger pressure needed for steel strings over nylon strings then simply buy a set of extra-light gauge steel strings and those will be perfectly acceptable. I use and recommend Elixir Nanoweb acoustic strings but really any good brand will do.
