Is the Martin DX1 a decent guitar to learn on and keep for a long time?
I was at guitar center today, and looked at a $300 Fender, and this Martin DX1. It has a nice non-glossy finish (which I like) and solid wood. Is the Fender better then the Martin as far as quality goes? Does anyone own a Martin DX1?
I'm a big fan of Martin guitars and I love the Martin DX1. It has great sound and playability. Low action makes it easy on the fingers. It's got Martni quality for a great price. You can definitly learn on it and since its such a good guitar you can keep it for a long time. I prefer Martin over Fender any day.
With that being said, it depends on you as well. Go with which one sounds best to you, plays best for you, feels right to you, and which one will fit your playing style best.
But I would recommend the Martin.
