Acoustic or Electric Acoustic?
I am completely new to guitar and I plan on getting either an acoustic or an acoustic electric. If I went for the acoustic I would probably get a Fender. If I get the electric acoustic then I will probably go for an Ovation Celebrity cc28-HBY.
Can someone please tell me which path to take along with which guitar to get?
Well..I have a Yamaha acoustic. I like it. It was a B-day gift and it works good for composing songs to.
Now..in 2005. I had an Ovation acoustic/electric. I think it was a Celebrity. Anyways, I didnt like it because when I recorded my old demos in the studios. It was always slipping away from my body while I played standing up. I had more trouble holding onto it than playing it honestly. So, I got rid of it fast.
Don't get me wrong. they sound great, but I hated the bowl design on the back. It was just too slippery for me to perform with. I play guitar in the studios standing up, not sitting down.
The next Acoustic/Electric guitar I'm getting is an Ibanez. They have some really killer ones with awesome colors too. Go to a Guitar Center or a Sam Ash near you and sit down and try them out. Overall, they just have a better feel, a slim neck and warmer tones too. They just feel more comfortable in your hands and they play real nicely too.
