I am deciding whether to choose
a Takamine G Series Acoustic/Electric Guitar Model# EG341C
or
an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe Acoustic / Electric Guitar Model# CC48?
They are not the expensive one both of them are around 300 dollars
Also Iike to play chords and sing acousticly.
They both have good reputations so I am going to advise what I usually advise anyway. Pick up each guitar (pick up several if you get the chance to) and try them out. Buy the one that you just can't put down. Not only does every brand of guitar have a slightly different sound, every single guitar has a slightly different sound, action, and some will even say "soul!" Find your soulmate, buy it, take care of it and enjoy every moment you can. hope this helps. (By the way, Yamaha puts out a few really nice guitars as well.)
