Anyone have an idea how much it is to get guitar fixed?
Ive had my guitar a few months its a 5 year old ovation celebrity and it making a buzzing sound i think its fret buzz. Any Ideas how much it is to get this fixed or should i just buy a new one?
It's hard to tell without actually playing the guitar myself but it probably needs a neck adjustment. It's not a big deal for a qualified guitar tech. The best thing to do would be a setup job. The tech will put on new strings, adjust the amount of relief in the neck , adjust the action and whatever else needs to be addressed. A lot of times a guitar will sound and play as good as or better than new after a setup job is done. Prices vary from place to place but it's usually in the $30 to $50 dollar range for a complete setup job. That's a lot cheaper than buying a new guitar. Just contact your local music shop and they should be able to hook you up with a guitar tech. Good luck !
