But don't let the slim body fool you. Thanks to the impressive top wood, Ovation's materials, and cutting-edge design technology, the sound of the Ovation Celebrity Deluxe acoustic-electric guitar projects well and is pleasing to the ears. The top of the Ovation CC48-PD Celebrity Super guitar is padauk, a dense wood that adds sustain with a soft attack and higher treble frequencies. The bowl is made of Lyrachord, a mix of composite materials. Its manufacturing process is based on the same original recipe developed by company founder Charles Kaman back in the '60s. The bowl vibrates well and produces a louder, more dynamic sound than wood, with a perfect response. Using incredibly sophisticated laser-based aerospace measurement machines, Ovation engineers plotted the movement of the guitar tops using different bracing patterns. Through some detailed analysis, they developed their scalloped X-bracing that achieved their goals. i havent been able to find the dimensions of the case but if anyone has tried...
