I need egg drop from an air cannon help plz???????
ok, so I need help on an egg drop project. The egg plus its container will be shot out from an air cannon about 150 feet into the air and its going to land on pavement. The whole packaging must at the maximum 4 inches in diameter and 16 inches long. I need help!!
Here are the materials I can only use:
18" wire
8' x 10" cardboard
24" string
5" toilet paper
4 straws ( bendy kind)
1 paper plate
4 steel washers
6 cotton balls(they are about the size of a mini marshmallow)
6 rubber bands
1 paper cup
1-9" x 12" plastic bag
12" masking tape
6" duct tape
1/4" of hot glue gun stick
You can do anything to the materials like cut them or folding them. And yes, you can make a parachute.
Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help! I only have one week!!!!!!!!!! If the egg survives, I get to get a helicopter ride! PPPPPLLLLZZZZ I BEG OF YOU.

The point of the project is for *you* to come up with a creative answer based on the materials given. If you just do something someone else tells you, you are missing the entire point of the exercise.
In any case, I would not attempt to make a real parachute. It would tear off when it hit the high muzzle velocity and there's no way to control when it deploys.
You can use the washers to make one end heavier and it might land on the end with the washers in it. Think about making a crumple zone with the paper cup that will absorb the impact.
