What kind of strings go on an electric/acoustic guitar?
So I'm a little confused. When buying replacement strings for an electric-acoustic guitar, (for example, the Fender Sonoran SCE electric/acoustic guitar) would you buy normal acoustic strings, or is there a special type of strings for electric/acoustic guitars?
Most acoustic/electric guitars employ a Piezo type pickup that is usually located under the bridge of the guitar. Standard bronze or phosphor bronze strings are recommended although you can use silk and steel or silk and bronze strings.
There are nickel acoustic guitar strings but this type of string is manufactured for use on acoustic guitars that employ an electro-magnetic type pickup which is the same type of pickup used on electric guitars.
