What sounds better a 6 string or 12 string acoustic guitar?
I would like to begin playing acoustic guitar. And I know a 12 string is harder but honestly, I don't care, I just want to know which one sounds better, or what the difference is. Can you play more songs with a 12 string. I am also a huge fan of Taylor Swift and would love to play her songs, would I be able to on both? Thanks in advance!
A 12 string guitar sounds more "full" and is mostly used for playing rhythm. Im not sure about Taylor Swift but im pretty sure she uses a 6 string, and yes you can play most songs on both types of guitars.
A 6 string guitar is probably a little easier to pick or do solos on. I love the sound of both and learned to play the 6 string before I played a 12 string. It all depends on your preference and what type of music you want to play but I recommend learning the 6 string first. When you know how to play a 6 string, you can pick up a 12 string and play that too.
