acoustic guitar for beginner?
which one would be better for a beginner:
Takamine G340 dreadnought acoustic
or
Takamine Jasmine ES31C dreadnought acoustic
or would you recommend a different type? also my budget is around $0-$300.
I would avoid the Jasmine Guitar.
I played a Jasmine E35 acoustic at our local music store and it was really bad.
Jasmine is to Takamine like Epiphone is to Gibson.
They are cheaper versions of the parent companies.
you also might consider the single cutaway version of the Takamine G340
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Takamine-G340SC-Solid-Top-Cutaway-Dreadnought-Acoustic-Guitar-516423-i1148980.gc
the cutaway makes it easier to play the higher frets.
I also like what the other guy said. If you have a chance to actually try the guitars out, then I would do that.
Guitars choose their owners. Some expensive guitars don't feel as good as some cheaper guitars to the player, depending on what the player likes the neck and string action to feel like. So it's always best to try before you buy.
I was shopping for a cheaper practice electric guitar and saw a Squier Strat guitar, and as soon as I played a few notes on it, I said, this is IT!
Other guitars, even the same model didn't feel as good as the one I played. So there is variability in each guitar.
