Which is the better guitar?
It's for an absolute beginner. I do plan on going and trying them out personally but I really don't know what to look for. So which guitar would you personally get and which do you think is the better buy?

If you don't like either could you recommend another one?
Rosalee... They are both good guitars, but i like Fender. I like Ibanez guitars, but have never played the Takamine. But if Kenny Chesney plays one it im sure there as good as any. I liked the design and size. Make sure no matter what that the neck fits your hand, and the over all size of the guitar is one that is comfortable to you. Good Luck. You may want to go to a guitar store just to play and hold both to see which you feel is best. There's no charge for that. Steve
