Epiphone Hummingbird or Jasmine by Takamine?
i want to buy an inexpensive acoustic guitar & i was wondering which one do ya'll think would be better - an Epiphone Hummingbird or a Takamine Jasmine?

If possible, you should go to a guitar store and play both of them before deciding. Epiphone makes great guitars, but the necks are a little on the fat side, which can make them difficult for beginners or people with small hands to play. The thinner a guitar's neck, the easier it is to move around comfortably between notes and chords.
When I was shopping for guitars last year, I test drove a bunch of different models just for the fun of it. I wasn't familiar with Takamine's Jasmine line, but found them very user-friendly. The necks are very thin and the action (the distance between the strings and the fretboard) is nice and low, so playing them is a breeze. The Epiphones I played were really nice guitars, but the necks were just too big for me to play comfortably because I've got the hands of a 12-year-old.
If your hands are in the normal-to-large size range, the Epiphone might be perfectly suited to you. But if your hands are smallish, it might be a little challenging to play such a large-bodied guitar with a chunky neck.
By the way, I love both of the guitars you're considering. You've got very good taste!
