Is this a good guitar for a beginner?
Okay so I always wanted to play the guitar. I always watched my dad play when I was a little girl but he wouldn't let me and said a piano would fit more for a young lady. Ten years later and I'm still YEARNING to play. Is this a good guitar for a beginner? "Jasmine by Takamine S35 Acoustic Guitar, Natural"? If not, what is a good affordable acoustic guitar for a beginner? Also, some of my friends who play told me that I will develop calluses..? What did you do to treat them? Thanks!!
Ok I suggest you read this very carefully and take this into deep consideration.
I always suggested guitar players pack which will give you:
-Extra strings
-Gig bag
-electric or pitch pipe tuners
-some extra picks
People always say no to them because in their head greed and cost of things means a better guitarist. When in all actuality any pro will say the player makes the guitar sound good. The guitar does not make the player sound good.
Epiphone, Fender/Squire,Ibanez, and rouge make some player packs which will work for a starting guitarist.
You always want to stick to an acoustic guitar when you are starting out learning. Electric guitars will mess you up with weaker fingers and hurting you with speed and endurance. And going from an electric guitar to an accoustic guitar and have some serious down falls with your playing of guitar.

and though you know how each note sounds on piano you might want to still get an electric tuner to be on the safe side of keeping you guitar in tune alos.

Don't let people who think they are a musician tell you this guitar sucks or that guitar sucks. There is no such thing as a guitar being better than another. It is all about the matter of opinion to what suits you.
Any real musician can make a 100 dollar guitar sound like 10000 dollar guitar. But a 10000 dollar guitar though can make a guitars sound like they are playing 100 dollar guitars. So learn to play the instrument before you upgrade to something more exspensive.
