I was given a biltmore acoustic guitar by my grandfather.?
I was given a biltmore "commando" acoustic by my grandfather. He knows very little about it but states he purchased this guitar from his guitar teacher shortly after WWII around 1948. This guitar has a very thick neck an archtop body with two sound holes very similar to the Gibson 300 heres a pic of what it looks like of course it is Biltmore not Gibson. https://store.bluebookinc.com/Images/PhotoGrading/GibsonAcoustic2.jpg

That guitar is definitely a copy of a Gibson. There were many guitar makers back then who made guitars under many names. Though the guitar probably doesn't have a great collector value, enjoy the fact that it belonged to your grandfather and that it's around 60 years old.
In order to retain any value it may have, don't make any changes to it and have it checked out and maintained by a qualified technician so that you can preserve it for your child or grandchild. The technician will also be able to tell you how to take care of the guitar so it doesn't degrade.
Be sure to write down the guitar's story and when you received it and put that in the case with the guitar, so future generations of your family will know the history of their family heirloom.
